Taking inspiration from both the old masters and evolving technical innovations, Gabriel uses primarily oil paints to create ethereal and highly personal works. Using the landscape motif as a commencement into the two dimensional plane, the pieces deflate the idea that space is confined to the borders. Simultaneously comforting and vast, he works within his home state of California; a place which perfectly echoes the qualities of the artwork.

He is a 2018 graduate of Colorado College with a BA in Studio Art, focusing in oil painting, stone carving, wood/metal working, and ink drawing. Received an Anderson Ranch Arts Center scholarship in 2017 to a stone carving workshop in Aspen, Colorado. In that same year, his work was chosen to represent the front and back covers of the Colorado College Cipher Magazine, and had his piece "Redwood" exhibited in the Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center.
